Fridley Minn - On Wednesday, May 1, U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and the Department of Defense's (DOD) top energy official Sharon Burke will outline how power generators produced by Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) have slashed the military's energy use in Afghanistan by 21 percent, cutting costs and increasing safety of combat troops who now make fewer fuel-transport runs.  The two will visit the company’s, Cummins Power Generation headquarters in Fridley, Minn. following the announcement.
